JYSK is a Danish chain of retail stores and e-shops which sells furniture and a wide variety of home necessities. It was founded in 1979 by Lars Larsen, and the concept saw a jump-start as the opening of new stores followed immediately. JYSK has been a growing global concern ever since. It currently operates stores at more than 2,500 locations in 51 countries worldwide and has more than 23,000 employees. With its annual turnover of ca. 3,36 billion Euro, JYSK is the fastest-growing Danish company.

The Canadian branch of JYSK currently comprises more than 60 stores in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec. The first store was opened in 1996 in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The company has been successfully expanding ever since.
